Discovery into Japan
Their might be many aspects of Japan which attracts people from the rest of the world. Manga, Anime, Washoku (Japanese cuisine), old temples and shrines, the shining skyscrapers of Tokyo, or the beautiful mountains and sea shores of the countryside.
I was born in Japan, but throughout my childhood, I had an experience to live in the UK. So I know their are many attractive places to visit around the world. I have also visited 45 out of 47 prefectures which consists Japan, so I know many good places and regional culture in this country.
Although, I was wondering why so many people likes to visit Japan now. Okay, they might be interested in Japanese pop and high culture, they want to eat exact Sushi and Ramen in Tokyo, but all these things seems not enough to explain the recent enthusiasm.
Then I came upon a hypothesis that these visitors are coming to Japan to feel relieved and relaxed, by the nature of the people and the country. Of course this should not explain every motivation to visit, but it certainly seems to be one of the most important reasons for their trip.
And at the same time, I found out that against this huge demand for knowing about Japan, there are only few information provided from Japanese people in English or any other foreign words. Certainly there are well known books to explain Japan's culture and philosophy, written in English by famous authors such as Daisetsu Suzuki or Shuzo Kuki, but quite a long time has passed from their publication.
I feel it better to provide up to date information of Japan from multiple perspective, so I have decided to start this site.
